Kathy is an experienced PR professional with more than 30 years’ experience in regional newspaper journalism, Public Relations and Marketing.

A qualified journalist, she has worked for several evening and morning newspapers, latterly as Chief Reporter running the Wakefield office of the Yorkshire Post.

On entering the PR industry in 1992, her commercial PR experience covers a range of business sectors, including senior NHS, agency and in-house roles.

​

She has considerable expertise in trade, consumer and internal PR, as well as media relations, newsletter/brochure production and copywriting.

​

In 2005, she founded her PR consultancy Wilkinson PR Ltd specialising in B2B communications for a range of clients in the UK, Europe and overseas. The construction, plastics/PVC, waste management and recycling industries are a particular focus.

Kathy holds an industry-recognised qualification (CAM Foundation) with a Distinction in PR and is a full member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (MCIPR).
